Mission

We want SparklePositives to be a platform of sharing inspirational stories, thoughts, ideas, tips to encourage a positive lifestyle.

How it started

In the old days, I was convinced that pessimistic thoughts let me to all my successful achievements. I would say it were internal pessimistic thoughts. As people would always describe me as joyful person.

So around the year 2000 I got a book The Power of Positive Thinking” by Dr. Normal Vincent Peale. I started to read this book and there was one exercise that hit the nail on the head: for 7 days, when you wake up, sit on your bed and say “it is going to be a wonderful day”.

After three days I started to feel the difference, things were going better in a positive manner. But the most important change was I felt better, it did not matter anymore what the worldly outcome would be. I felt internally better.

Continuing the journey

From this point on I moved towards attending a course of the famous Silva method. The Silva Method is a self-help and meditation program developed by José Silva. It increases the abilities through relaxation, development of brain functions and psychic abilities like clairvoyance.

Later on I learned about the The Secret and from the secret I started to move into the Yoga movement (particularly Ashtanga Yoga).

The reason I started with Yoga was to get a bit more flexible, but I got so much more. Specifically balance between body and mind. Practice is about discipline, about moving forward in a sustainable pace. Improving postures in your practice one step at the time.

The goal is to, yearly, do things which reminds me of the internal balance. The balance between heart and mind. I will blog about my experiences.
